1183 My gums bleed while I do Wudu, do I have to wait until the bleeding stops or can I carrying on doing Wudu? Sometimes it's only a little, but sometimes I can taste the blood. Jazakallah.
In normal conditions Wudu can only be performed once the bleeding has stopped and you have washed away the blood from the affected area.

If the above situation is due to a problem you have regularly, then in this case the Shariah classes such a person as Shari Mazoor (indigent) having an Uzar (limitation) and hence making you exempt from the normal condition. A Mazoor can perform Wudu even though the gums are bleeding, however the Wudu is valid only till you have completed say Salah and then for next Salah you have to perform fresh Wudu.
