539 Can a man marry who’s never been married before, to a woman who’s been divorced?
Yes Shariah allows this providing the women has waited until her interim period (idthath period) has passed.

Allah (S.W.T) gives the following order to a woman who has been divorced by her husband to follow before remarrying :

1. The woman has to wait until she passes through three cycles of her period.

2. If a woman no longer goes through period months then it is compulsory for her to wait for 3 months from the date of her divorce.

3. If a woman at the time of her divorce was to be pregnant then the command for her is to wait until the child is born before remarrying.
