869 As Ramadan is Approaching Insha'Allah, I Wanted To Know, Just Before Closing Your Fast, Is It Permissible to use 'Toothbrush & Toothpaste'. The Reason Being, I Have Recently Heard That, There are Chemicals Left Over After using it. If Not, What are The Alternatives? Jazak'Allah.
Yes you are allowed to brush your teeth using toothpaste just before closing your Fast.

Another alternative to this is to use Miswaak (Which is also the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W)).

There are many benefits of using Miswaak, but one of the greatest benefits is that the tongue will recite the Kalimah at the time of death.

Here are a few more benefits of using the Miswaak:

• Miswaak (Original Not Flavoured) can also be used whilst in the state of Fast
• Salah performed after using Miswaak, is seventy times more virtuous than salaat performed without using Miswaak.
• Eliminates bad odour and improves the sense of taste
• Sharpens the Memory and the Intelligence
• Is a cure for headaches
• Strengthens the eye-sight
• Assists in the process of Digestion etc….
