Ramadan 2011 (Seeking The Truth)

Sects in Islam

Unity is one of the strongest values of Islam, proven by both the Holy Quran and the teaching of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). However, there are some people who don’t understand this concept and say in their ignorance, that all people who read the Kalima are part of the Muslim Ummah and are brothers in Islam.

How can this be? Didn't Musailma Kazzab read the Kalima but also claim to be a Prophet after Our Beloved Master, Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W)? Didn't Ghulam Ahmed Qadiyani (another reciter of the Kalima) say the same a few years back? Is he our Mu’min brother too? Do we embrace them with open arms as believers?

When the answer to these questions is "No, they are not Muslims", why is reciting the Kalima made to be the criteria of unity? Mere lip-service of the Kalima doesn't suffice for unity. Rather, having faith and conviction on all the dimensions of Tauheed (the Oneness of Allah (S.W.T) and Risaalat (Prophethood of the Beloved Messenger (S.A.W)) is its foundation.

Today there are many issues that are disputed amongst the Muslim Ummah. What is the truth?

One of the fiercest opponents of the Ahle Sunnah in the present time is the Wahabi / Ghair-Muqalid / Deobandi movement. They would like the general Muslim public to believe that they are the true followers of the Quran and Sunnah, and that the Ahle-Sunnah wal-Jamaat (i.e. Sunnis) on the path of Sayyadina Rasoolullah (S.A.W), the Sahaba Iqraam (R.A), Ahle-Bait (R.A), other accomplished servants of Allah (S.W.T) are all Innovator ("Bidatis"), Polytheists ("Mushriks") and Kafirs.

Don't be fooled by them. Alhamdulillah, every Sunni belief and practice is supported by the Quran, Sunnah and other Islamic proofs.

Our argument with the Wahabi / Deobandi / Tablighi Jamaat sect is not merely on Salaat-O-Salaam, Fatiha, and Meelad etc. No!, Our argument with them is that they accept those who've been proven to have abused, mocked and disrespected Holy Prophet (S.A.W) to be Great Scholars.

Have we forgotten what our Prophet (S.A.W) said to us: "The Bani Israel was split into 72 sects? My Ummah will be split into 73. All of them are in Jahannam except one." When the Sahaba asked him who the correct group was, He (S.A.W) answered, 'Those who are on my path (Ahle-Sunnah) and the path of my Sahaba (Wal-Jamaat)." (Tirmidhi Vol 2, Pg 89; Mishkaat, Vol 1, Pg. 30)

In this blessed month; Janathi Message will clearly outline with proof why these sects are the deviated ones and why we must confront their blasphemous beliefs.
