Welcome to Janathi Message

Ramadan 2015

Invocation (Dua):

One should make the following Dua (alternative Dua’s can be read):

Rab-bij'alnee Muqeemas Salaati Wa Min Zurri-yatee,
Rab-banaa Wata Qab-bal Du'aa, Rab-banagh-fir Lee Wa Li Waali daiey-ya Wa Lil Mu'mineena Yauma Yaqoomul Hisaab.

“O my Lord! Make me and my children the ones who establish Prayer; O my Lord, and grant my prayer. O my Lord! Forgive me and (forgive) my parents and all the believers as well on the Day when reckoning
(and accountability) will be held.”

When sitting, men should put their left foot flat on the ground with the toes pointing towards the right (they sit on this foot). The right foot should be upright, with the toes touching the ground (bent) pointing towards the Qiblah.

Women should point both their feet towards the right and not sit on their feet but sit on the prayer mat.

Salaam (saying peace at the end):

While turning the head toward the right shoulder first say:

As-Salaamu 'Alaeikum Wa Rahmatul Laah

“Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah (S.W.T)

Then turn the head toward the left shoulder and say:

As-Salaamu 'Alaeikum Wa Rahmatul Laah

“Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah (S.W.T)

During the Salaam, one should make the intention of saying it to the Angels and people on each side, as well as the Imam.
